Trundle to the South.
Trundle to the South.

35 x27cm. Watercolour & gouache on paper.
Sold, private collection.

A view from The Trundle looking towards the coast.

The Trundle is an Iron Age Fort known as St Roche's Hill adjacent to Goodwood Racecourse. It is probably the highest point for miles around and the views from here have been the subject of several paintings, some large and some very small.
To the South you can see the Solent and the Channel.

This one has some surprisingly colourful sky on a stormy day and the land has sun light reflecting from the ground
