3 for Sant Elia

3 for Sant Elia 2004/14. White stoneware wood & brass. 48x32x30cm.
This is composed of some pieces I made a few years ago, boxed so that the composition can involve 1, 2 or all 3 pieces and those not directly involved are contained within the plinth/box.
Santa Elia was a futurist architect, killed during the !st World War when Italy and England were on the same side. He is famous, not for the buildings he completed but for the drawings of unbuilt/imagined buildings and cityscapes: forerunners of Le Corbusier's plans and Bladerunner.
